We have not yet verified the current operators, routes and fares for Nantes, so we are not publishing specifics we cannot stand behind. For what is running on the day you travel, the airport's own arrivals information is the reliable source, and your accommodation will usually know what works best for the hour you land.

Helpful Tips
Purchase a TAN card (Pass Liberté) at a machine or kiosk for discounted fares on the city's trams and buses.
Use the TAN app (TAN by Nantes Métropole) for real-time schedules, route planning, and mobile ticketing.
The tramway's Line 1 connects the main train station (Gare de Nantes) directly to the city center and the Île de Nantes.
For a scenic route, use the Navibus river shuttle on the Erdre or Sèvre rivers, which is included in standard TAN transport passes.
Common Scams to Avoid
Taxi drivers may take unnecessarily long routes to inflate the fare, if the passenger is unfamiliar with the city. To avoid this, use a reputable taxi app or agree on a route in advance, and note that official taxis must use the meter.
Individuals posing as unofficial 'taxi' drivers may approach travelers inside the terminal offering rides, often at inflated rates and without proper licensing or insurance. Always use the official taxi rank outside the arrivals hall or a pre-booked service.
While less specific to Nantes Atlantique Airport, a general caution for tourist areas is currency exchange desks offering poor rates or hidden fees. It is advisable to compare rates or use ATMs/banks for better value, as airport exchanges are often a convenience option.
